# Article 50 Launch Patch

Updated: 2 August 2026

Forhemit Labs offers a bounded production-engineering engagement for a buyer that has already obtained its product-specific requirement from qualified counsel or an authorized compliance owner.

## Timing

The European Commission states that Article 50 transparency obligations apply from **2 August 2026**. Its current guidance describes a limited transition through 2 December 2026 only for Article 50(2) marking and detection duties for qualifying generative AI systems placed on the market or put into service before 2 August 2026.

That timing does not determine whether any particular buyer, product, system, output, or surface is in scope. The buyer and its qualified counsel or authorized compliance owner must make that determination.

## Purchase facts

- Price: **$9,800 USD**, paid once through a private Stripe checkout after qualification.
- Capacity: **two companies**.
- Founding purchase window: closes **August 3, 2026 at 1:00:53 PM PDT (20:00:53 UTC)**, or earlier if both slots are purchased.
- Delivery: **five business days**.
- Work cap: **24 engineering hours** per engagement.
- Stack: **one TypeScript/JavaScript web product**.
- Surface limit: **up to three** buyer-counsel-approved disclosure, output, or evidence surfaces.

## Deliverables

1. Map the buyer-approved requirement to named product surfaces and acceptance criteria.
2. Implement the selected behavior in one web repository.
3. Add automated checks and complete a bounded accessibility review.
4. Provide staging evidence, change identifiers, known limitations, and a dated handover record.
5. Correct implementation defects reported within seven calendar days of delivery, subject to the published terms.

After full payment, the buyer owns buyer-specific code and deliverables. Each party retains pre-existing materials; open-source software remains under its own license.

## Good fit

- A live customer-facing AI web product with EU users or near-term EU customers.
- Named counsel or compliance, product, and engineering owners.
- Approved wording and acceptance criteria available before kickoff.
- One repository, a staging environment, and a reproducible test path.

## Excluded

This is implementation support, not legal advice.

- Legal advice, product classification, an audit, certification, or a compliance guarantee.
- Native mobile applications, non-JavaScript stacks, multiple products, or organization-wide governance programs.
- Safety-critical or otherwise regulated product work.
- Model training, production credentials by email, or unrestricted system access.

The buyer and its qualified counsel determine applicability, approve wording and the technical measure, and own the production-release decision. Forhemit Labs tests whether the approved product behavior was implemented; it does not decide whether that behavior is legally sufficient.

## Inspect before contacting

- [Private technical fit check](https://article50-launch-patch-public.vercel.app/fit-check) — six browser-only delivery questions; answers are not transmitted unless the visitor deliberately opens the email handoff.
- [Engineering surface mapper](https://article50-launch-patch-public.vercel.app/surface-map) — a browser-only product-fact inventory that creates a copyable or downloadable counsel-and-engineering handoff without transmitting answers.
- [Interactive fictional proof](https://article50-launch-patch-public.vercel.app/proof)
- [Public source and passing tests](https://github.com/stevenknowswhy/article50-launch-patch-proof)
- [Pinned v1.3.0 CI evidence guard](https://github.com/stevenknowswhy/article50-launch-patch-proof/releases/tag/v1.3.0) — runs on Node 24 and validates required implementation-evidence fields, passing checks, and explicit limitations; it does not determine applicability or prove compliance.
- [Pinned v1.2.0 voice-agent proof and fictional audio demo](https://github.com/stevenknowswhy/article50-voice-agent-proof/releases/tag/v1.2.0) — secrets-free LiveKit and Vapi reference, deterministic inbound and permission-gated outbound simulator, exact fictional-call transcript, and downloadable local text-to-speech rendering, with 17 passing tests for disclosure, consent, opt-out, and data-minimized capture; the audio is not a phone-call recording, and the proof artifact is separate from the live line below.

## Qualification

Use the surface mapper to prepare an internal handoff, then use the private technical fit check for a delivery-only result. Neither tool determines legal applicability, and full human qualification remains mandatory.

Email [Stefano.Stokes@forhemit.com](mailto:Stefano.Stokes@forhemit.com?subject=Article%2050%20Launch%20Patch%20fit%20check) with the public product URL, repository stack, proposed surface, EU-use signal, and named counsel/compliance, product, and engineering owners. Do not email credentials or sensitive code.

The disclosed [AI intake agent](mailto:article50-launch-agent@agentmail.to?subject=Article%2050%20Launch%20Patch%20fit%20check) provides an automated first response using the same qualification and security boundaries. Use the human address above for a human-first route.

Call the disclosed [AI phone line at +1 (626) 777-8341](tel:+16267778341) for a voice-first route. It identifies itself as AI, calls are not recorded, and retained follow-up moves to the guarded email channel. Do not share credentials, sensitive code, payment-card details, or other sensitive information by phone.

The private checkout is shared only after a real buyer, authorized purchaser, product, owners, and fitting scope are confirmed.
